Uniform Information

The Cub Scout uniform is an important part of being a Cub Scout. Wearing it lets people know that the wearer is part of the Boy Scouts of America in addition to their den and pack! The official uniform should be worn to den meetings, pack meetings, and most special Scouting activities. When Scouts wear the full "Class A" Cub Scout uniform, it shows they are a member of the team.

"Class B" uniforms, which consist of a Pack T-Shirt are worn to outdoor activity events such as bike rally or pack blow out and some community activity events such as church clean up.  Pack leadership will notify Scouts which uniform to wear. 

All uniform elements (aside from the class B T-Shirt) can be purchased at the Scout Shop at 12500 North IH 35, Austin, TX 78753. Alternatively scout uniforms may be obtained from other sources such as Craigslist and ebay.  Pack 265 also has a clothes closet with gently used uniforms from Scouts who have outgrown theirs.

• Capitol Area Council patch

• Den number patch

• Current rank-year neckerchief 

• Current rank-year neckerchief slide

• Blue Scout belt 

• Webelos Colors pin ribbon (Webelos only)

• Class B T-shirt (available at Pack meetings)

Optional uniform elements (all ranks)

• Current rank-year hat

• Blue Scout pants

• Blue Scout socks

Alternative uniform (Webelos only)

• Tan uniform with World Crest and American Flag patches

• Blue shoulder loops

• Pack unit number (265) patch(es) - white on red

• Capitol Area Council patch

• Either den number patch OR den emblem 

• Webelos neckerchief

• Webelos neckerchief slide

• Either blue Scout belt (with adventure loops) OR olive Scout belt (without adventure loops

Alternative optional elements (Webelos only)

• Webelos hat

• Olive Scout pants (worn only with tan uniform)

• Olive Scout socks (worn only with tan uniform)

When Webelos "Cross Over" into Scouts BSA they will switch from the blue uniform to the tan uniform, so getting a tan uniform a size larger than your current Webelos' size will provide growing room for several years to come.
